SOTA returns for its sixth annual event this June
The free all-ages showcase that is Perth's State Of The Art Music Festival has announced celebrated acts Drapht and Karnivool as the headliners for its sixth annual event, held this June as part of WA Day celebrations.
The pair of acts lead an all-star line-up of state musical heroes, from Gyroscope (reuniting especially for the show), Bob Evans and Tired Lion to Katy Steele, Crooked Colours (back home from their current base on the east coast), Abbe May, POW! Negro, Rag N' Bone and more.
The gig comes ahead of Karnivool's fourth studio album and concurrent with national tour plans for this June and July.
The event will once again form part of the wider WA Day Festival, being held at Elizabeth Quay on Monday 5 June from 12 noon until 9pm.

Beyond the musical delights — which also includes a jazz concert — the WA Day Festival will feature a range of family-friendly activities over the Sunday and Monday, such as the Perth Makers Market, WA Celebrity Signature Dish and Play In WA.
There will also be a range of food and beverages on offer, from the worldly, street-food flavours of the Eat Street food truck hub, to the sophistication of the licensed Urban Providore area, featuring bites from some of Perth's most popular restaurants.
