Drake's New Album Is Available Right Now For Your Listening Pleasure

It's been over two years since rap legend Drake announced he had begun work on a new album. And while he sent fans reeling with an Instagram post back in 2019, with the Canadian rapper proclaiming to be in 'album mode', the wait is finally over today following confirmation earlier this week that Certified Lover Boy would unleash into the world on Friday 3 September.

With some hints and sneak peeks about some of the impending guests on Certified Lover Boy already floating about in the form of billboards and tweets, the final imposing lineup of guests on the album includes the likes of JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, Lil Baby, Ty Dolla $ign, Rick Ross and Project Pat, while Nicki Minaj pops up briefly for a spoken word outing on Papi's Home.

Marking the first full-length album since 2018's Scorpion, Certified Lover Boy comes armed with a monstrous 21 tracks, including plenty of tongue-in-cheek moments on tunes like No Friends In The Industry and Fucking Fans. And throughout the entire near-90 minute runtime, there's certainly no shortage of the Canadian rapper's iconic flow and earthy tones - and there's even a cheeky Beatles sample and co-writing credit for John Lennon and Paul McCartney on the opening track Champagne Poetry.

While the anticipation certainly was heating up for the release of Kanye West's dominating new album Donda last week, the froth in the lead up to Drake's new release has been equally palpable; perhaps a fitting reality, given recent rumblings that the pair's feud may escalate further following Certified Lover Boy's release.
