The iconic show marks half a century

It's been fifty years since Doctor Who first popped up on television, so to mark the occasion, Vivid Sydney will hold a visual art spectacular dedicated to the show.

The Customs House at Circular Quay will light up on Saturday 1 June with an eye-catching display of 3D-projections of the Doctor and some of his more famous enemies. Music that has featured in the show, as well as the iconic theme song will also accompany the visual masterpiece.

There will also be special cinema screenings held of Doctor Who at Dendy Opera Quays, featuring two classic episodes from Series Seven Part 1 - Asylum of the Daleks and The Angels Take Manhattan.

The event is a collaboration between Destination NSW and BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand. For more information head to Vivid Sydney.
