DMA'S have surprised fans today with the release of a new EP.
Dubbed I Love You Unconditionally, Sure Am Going To Miss You, the EP came about as the trio were quarantining in Canberra ahead of their 2020 AFL Grand Final performance, only months after the release of their third studio album, The Glow.
"This EP was in the natural trajectory that you can sometimes take in a band,” said guitarist and co-songwriter Johnny Took of the release and its return to DMA'S more rock-based roots.
"You work with different producers, and you want to keep changing, but there’s also something in your core that pulls you back. It’s cool to get back to your roots sometimes."
Fans can expect to hear lead single We Are Midnight popping up around the place as well as the EP today.
"We Are Midnight is a noisy guitar pop explosion which brings us back to our roots," said Took.

"In writing the track we felt all the melodic parts were strong but structuring it properly to make the most out of the song was the hardest part. By self-producing this EP, we had to take more control of aspects such as this and seeing growth in this facet of our songwriting makes us proud to share it with you today."
