Dental Plan ProfileMelbourne indie-punk outfit Dental Plan have unveiled their new EP, Live At The Hit Hole.
The EP follows the band’s debut album, Raw Nerve, released in 2024. It features the track No Solution, which they dropped last month. At the time, The Music described the song as “riff-filled” and packed with “fuzz, grit, and undeniable energy.”
Live At The Hit Hole was filmed and recorded in-studio with Dental Plan’s consistent collaborator, Nick Manuell, in Brunswick, Melbourne, at the lovingly named The Hit Hole. It’s a release without overdubs or overthinking; raw and exciting.
Dental Plan, starring The Music’s own Tyler Jenke, share two new songs on their latest EP, Born Wrong and No Solution, plus a live rendition of their fan favourite track, Raw Nerve, and a cover of Hüsker Dü’s Don’t Want to Know If You Are Lonely.

Vocalist and guitarist Niam Hegarty said of their latest release, “I grew up in Dunedin, and we definitely leaned into our Flying Nun, noisy alt-rock influences for this one. It is our first recording with Tyler playing guitar, and they came to the party with this one, bringing some epic noisy riffs.
“This is a good representation of the band over the last few years. We jam together often, and this is kind of like having someone in the room with us.”
Dental Plan release music and perform consistently, bringing an eclectic brand of punk-rock to the stage. They blend indie, alternative rock, and punk and, so far, have released numerous EPs and singles before dropping their debut album, Raw Nerve, in 2024.
