Dear Seattle Are Launching Their New Album By Setting Sail On Sydney Harbour

Dear Seattle are less than a month out from the release of their debut album, Don't Let Go, and they've decided to mark its release by setting sail on the iconic Sydney Harbour.

While they're cruising the Harbour on 15 Feb, Dear Seattle fans will be treated to a special performance from the group to mark the occasion.

The group have also dropped the brand new clip for Daytime TV today, which looks at what happened to classic Aussie characters Skippy The Bush Kangaroo and Blinky Bill after the cameras stopped rolling. 

"Daytime TV is about circumstances where being entirely yourself is the best option, but often the last thing you would ever think to try," explains frontman Brae Fisher. 

"The video follows a day in the life of Skippy, years after his fame as the beloved bush kangaroo on Australian TV, as he reflects on old tapes of his show from back in the day and despondently reminisces on his past popularity. He has run ins with avid fans and old fellow stars such as Blinky Bill, treating them horribly due to his own insecurities.

"The fame has turned him into someone who’s arrogant and selfish, leading him to a life grumpy life of loneliness. What he doesn’t realise is that his youthful self was loved for who he was, a simple bush kangaroo with good intentions who just enjoyed helping, and has now become a jaded and bitter old roo.”
