Gorgeous visuals in this one

Castlemaine psych-rocker DD Dumbo has unveiled a brand new song after two years of staying out of the spotlight — a fascinating new track with lush instrumentation and a stunning video to match.

With sitar, cowbell and myriad other instruments to bring the new song, Satan, to life, the video was directed by Jim Elson and features the salt flats of north-west Victoria and the cultish rituals of a bunch of marching people clad in white.

“We were looking for locations that were iconically Australian but that also had a strong otherworldly quality. I think it’s easy to take these environments for granted when you grow up there, so it was an exciting process to ‘discover’ them again in a different way."

DD Dumbo will be taking the new track on the road this July on a triad of dates starting 28 July. He'll first play Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane, before heading to Sydney's Newtown Social on 29 July and Melbourne's Northcote Social on 5 August. DD Dumbo will spend next month traipsing through UK and Europe.
