“You don’t know who your friends are, really."
Ex-AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has revealed he has tried to make contact with his former bandmates but they are yet to respond.
Little has been heard from Rudd surrounding his relationship with the band since he was charged with drug possession and threatening to kill, but on last night’s edition of A Current Affair, he revealed he has apparently tried to make amends with hopes of rejoining at some stage.
“I wrote them a letter and tried to get in touch with Angus and I’ve had no contact,” Rudd told A Current Affair in New Zealand.

He went on to say he would like to rejoin the band at some stage, but it isn't up to him.
“That’s not up to me; it’s up to Angus - that’s Angus’ call.”
Rudd pleaded guilty to possession of 0.71g of methamphetamine and 130g of cannabis, and one of two counts of threatening to kill last month and will return to court for sentencing on June 26.
“I’ve seen the error of my ways and it’s onwards and upwards,” Rudd said on the situation.
In what looked like a short doorstop interview — scattered with puns such as saying that Rudd was on his personal “highway to hell” - little else was revealed.
Chris Slade was confirmed as the band’s touring drummer in February, and, at this stage, will join them when they tour Australia this November and December.
