Crowded House have today unveiled a massive Australian headline tour for next year.

The legendary outfit will perform in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Centennial Vineyards in Bowral in April before headlining Bluesfest in Bryon Bay on Easter Sunday.

The run of shows will be the band’s first across Australia in 12 years, celebrating their latest album, Dreamers Are Waiting, which claimed Best Adult Contemporary Album at the ARIAs last week.

The release is their first studio album in over a decade, following on from 2010's Intriguer, and debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart back in June.

The Music reviewer Liz Giuffre noted that Dreamers Are Waiting “is both familiar and new”.

“The album is a collection of little three-minute (ish) marvels – lush, whimsical and interesting,” she said.

“There’s also the gentle comfort that so much of the music during this time has brought when we didn’t quite know what else could do it. It's a perfect cocktail of escapism and whimsy.”
