Phil Rudd allegedly threatened to kill and a man and his daughter
A summary has been released in court outlining what lead to the murder plot charge against AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd.
At a hearing at Tauranga district court, the Crown solicitor revealed a document in which Rudd allegedly made a phone call to someone he knew in September, and threatened to kill him and his daughter, The Guardian reports.
The initial charges for attempting to procure a murder came to light at the start of November, following his house being searched by local authorities, also laying down charges of possession of methamphetamines and cannabis,
The murder plot charges were withdrawn the same day they were made public, with the Crown solicitor having insufficient evidence to support the claims.

Rudd has denied the charges, and will appear again in Tauranga district court on 10 Feb for what will likely be a judge-alone trial.
