Association Of Artist Managers Announces Departure Of Catherine Haridy

The Association of Artist Managers (AAM) has today announced the departure of Executive Director, Catherine Haridy.

Haridy will step down from the role in June following her appointment as the new CEO of the Australian Music Centre. She will remain an active artist manager of her existing roster (Catherine Haridy Management) which includes acts like Eskimo Joe, Bob Evans and Angie Hart.

"Cath's leadership for the AAM has been nothing short of remarkable," AAM Chair Greg Carey said.

"In her tenure as Executive Director over the last two years she has grown the organisation substantially and created opportunities for all levels of managers.

"In particular, her work during the thick of the pandemic, was a vital role in helping Managers navigate their way through a difficult time.

"Her passion and advocacy of the management sector was recognised on a Federal level, being pivotal in the additional funding for RISE in our COVID recovery period."

Haridy said of her departure, "It's been an honour to represent our brilliant, resourceful and supportive artist management community at a time where we've been so challenged and disadvantaged.

"The last two years we have devoted ourselves to connecting, supporting, advocating for, and putting the spotlight on valuing our managers and their artists within the industry.

"It's been a privilege speaking and advocating for them at a time where they've needed it the most.

"I'm looking forward to continuing to contribute as a practising artist manager and Patron of the AAM."

The AAM is now seeking expressions of interest for the Executive Director role.
