Budjerah Announces The 'Therapy Sessions' Australian Tour

Aussie pop and R&B singer Budjerah’s star continues to grow, announcing a six-date national tour entitled the Therapy Sessions (named after his hit song, Therapy).

The big tour news comes hot off the heels of his new single, Is It Ever Gonna Make Sense (co-written with G Flip and Aidan Hogg), having its world premiere on triple j this afternoon. You can expect his new track, Therapy, and throwbacks to his 2021 EP Conversations on this tour, which takes place at the following dates and venues:

The Coodjinburra man will begin the tour at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Friday, 6 September, followed by dates at Sydney’s Factory Theatre (Saturday, 7 September), Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory (Friday, 13 September), Perth’s Rosemount Hotel (Saturday, 14 September), Melbourne’s 170 Russel (Friday, 20 September), and at the Brunswick Picture House in Brunswick Heads on Saturday, 28 September.

Frontier Touring members can access pre-sale tickets from 11 am local time on Monday, 22 July – you can find more details about that pre-sale here. Tickets to the general public will be available from 1 pm local time on Wednesday, 24 July, via the Frontier Touring website.

Budjerah said of the upcoming headline run, “On stage, there’s a fire in me, and I think that’s why I love performing so much. Because there’s a part of me inside that just wants to come out. And that’s when I feel like you get the full view of me as a whole person.”

At the time of writing, Budjerah is already the winner of two ARIA Awards – from a whopping 13 nominations – taking home awards for Breakthrough Artist in 2021 and Best Soul/R&B Release in 2022.

Last year, he opened for Ed Sheeran on the British superstar’s Mathematics Australian tour, was named an Ausmusic T-Shirt Day ambassador alongside Amy Shark and Jimmy Barnes, hung out with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Record Store Day, and won the prestigious Artist of the Year award at the NIMAs.
