Brunswick Music Festival Highlights Global Sounds With Diverse 2016 Line-Up

Australia's longest-running urban music festival, the Brunswick Music Festival, has unveiled its globally diverse 2016 first line-up ahead of the event's 28th-anniversary shindig in the town next year.

Returning to the nation's song-writing capital in March, the festival will bring in tow an eclectic, esteemed cadre of artists, with the way led by acclaimed Scottish outfit Shooglenifty, hot on the heels of their 25th-anniversary tour. Also aboard for 2016's festivities are Irish instrumentalists Manran, fellow Irish outfit Moxie, Sudanese-US retro-pop purveyors Alsarah & The Nubatones, Tokyo's 'godzilla-funk' kings Mountain Mocha Kilimanjaro, UK folk luminaries Spiro and home-grown drawcards Djuki Mala, direct from Elcho Island.

Tickets for the 2016 Brunswick Music Festival — including the newly implemented 'Town Hall Venue Pass', which grants access to each show at the Brunswick Town Hall over the festival's five-day duration — are available now through the event's website; a further line-up announcement is due in December, with the full program to be unveiled in January. 

The event kicks off with the Sydney Road Street Party on 6 March, with the festival itself taking over from 15-20 March.
