Briggs Replaces Gurrumul At St Kilda Fest

Gurrumul has stepped down from his spot due to health reasons.

More Briggs Briggs Profile

St Kilda Festival has had to do a little switch on their line-up for 2016. Due to health reasons, Gurrumul has pulled out from the festival.

Stepping up to take on the main stage set on Sunday arvo instead will be hip hop artist Briggs. Brothers in heritage, Gurrumul and Briggs both delve into their native language and history with their music with Briggs confirming that he'll be performing a number of Gurrumul tracks in tribute and that he's honoured to be asked to step in.

St Kilda Festival is Australia's largest free festival that consistently boasts solid line-ups. This year the likes of The Beards, The Bombay Royale and Client Liaison and more will be up on stage to finish off the seven-day event, a pretty top notch list considering that sweet price of absolutely nothing!
