Sydney electro act Boo Seeka have made a huge splash in the Carlton Dry Independent Music Charts this week, with their single Deception Bay making its debut in the #2 spot.

The placing comes in as the highest debut on the Single Charts this week, ahead of the only other new listing in fellow electro act, Bomb's Away's new song, Everybody Stand Up creeping in at #20.

Boo Seeka's track has been getting a lot of love from fans in recent times and the debut comes at a perfect time for the duo who are heading out on the road next month for their final live shows of 2015, which also includes a performance at the Yours & Owls music festival.

Meanwhile, Melbourne singer Meg Mac has again held the #1 spot with Never Be, while over on the Albums Chart, veteran group The Waifs have held top spot for three straight weeks now with their latest record, Beautiful You.

Yet again, there was very little movement in the Albums Chart with the only notable move in the top five coming from Courtney Barnett whose debut album Sometimes I Sit & Think & Sometimes I Just Sit  jumping up from #6 last week to land at #4.

It caps off an already impressive week for the songwriter who picked up a slew of awards at this year's Indie Music Awards — check out all of the nominees and categories here
