BluesfestWith just under four months to go until the 2026 edition of Bluesfest descends upon Byron Bay, organisers have provided some updates in terms of both the next artist line-up and upgrades to the Tyagarah event site.
Having dropped their initial line-up back in November (after some unexpected delays), the Bluesfest team have urged fans to keep their peepers peeled for what is shaping up to be a big second announcement.
“We’re putting the final touches on our next major artist announcement, and it’s coming very soon,” they promised in an email sent to subscribers. “Keep your eyes on your inbox - you won’t want to miss this one.”
They’ve also detailed what has been dubbed “one of our biggest site upgrades yet”, noting the changes have been designed in order to “deliver more comfort and and a better live music experience”.

Firstly, the 2026 edition of Bluesfest will feature a Crossroads Tent which is almost double the size of last year's. While the capacity has almost increased by 100%, it boasts a larger footprint, improved sightlines, and enhanced weather protection. Additionally, it offers a dedicated camp chair area and all-day grandstand seating, which is available for purchase.
Meanwhile, they've outlined a few other changes, noting how the Camp Chair Area will feature (as the name suggests) only low-profile camping chairs, with no trolleys permitted into the area so as to ensure safe access and clear emergency exits.
Meanwhile, the Platinum Area seeks to "prioritise premium sightlines, proximity, and atmosphere" by offering a front and side-of-stage viewing area, while the Mojo Tent will also feature chairs at its rear, along with the option for front and side-of-stage viewing area for Platinum ticketholders.
“We’re committed to making Bluesfest 2026 our most comfortable, accessible and enjoyable festival yet - without compromising the energy and magic of live music under the tents,” organisers wrote.
The 37th edition of Bluesfest will take place from April 2nd to April 5th in Byron Bay. The festival’s first line-up announce featured a number of high-profile acts, including a reformed Split Enz, Sublime, The Black Crowes, Buddy Guy, and R&B icons Earth, Wind & Fire.
Tickets to the 2026 edition of Bluesfest are on sale now.
