After having been on hiatus since 2009, and facing an uncertain future, Bloc Party have announced a follow up to 2008's Intimacy.

Named Four, the album will present a return to form for the UK's post-punk flag bearers. Produced by Alex Newport, known for his work with Death Cab for Cutie and The Mars Volta, frontman Kele Okereke is optimistic about the album. Indeed, said Okereke, the album is the “best thing that we have ever done and finishing this record has taken us on quite a journey.”

Headlinging Splendour in July later this year, we can rightly expect a return to form from Bloc Party.
