Mark Hoppus, the co-founder, co-lead vocalist, and bassist of Blink-182, is heading to Australia for a different kind of show in 2026.

The American punk rocker has announced his An Evening of Storytelling Australian dates, where he’ll open up about the stories within his memoir, Fahrenheit-182. A short but sweet tour, the evenings will take place in Melbourne and Sydney next March.

Released in April of this year, the book is an autobiographic memoir of Hoppus’s life. He teamed up with music journalist Dan Ozzi to write the memoir, which chronicles Hoppus’ life and career in music. Ozzi previously wrote about part of Blink-182’s history in his 2021 book, Sellout.

Within Fahrenheit-182, Hoppus explores his upbringing in the Mojave Desert, his early love for punk rock, and details the “definitive history” of Blink-182, including their beginnings in a SoCal garage, reaching the peak of their fame, break-ups, and his “bromance” with guitarist and co-vocalist Tom DeLonge.

In addition to the musical discussions, Hoppus was inspired to write his memoir after being diagnosed with cancer in the early 2020s, an experience which prominently features in the book.

In mid-2021, Hoppus underwent treatment for stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and confirmed its success three months later. By September 2022, he was “clean” of cancer.

Hoppus’ An Evening of Storytelling dates take place at the Melbourne Recital Hall on Thursday, 19 March, and the Sydney Opera House on Saturday, 21 March. During the evenings, fans will witness Hoppus in a whole new light: vulnerable, funny, and exciting.

The Live Nation pre-sale begins on Thursday, 13 November, at 12 pm local time – register here to access pre-sale tickets. The general sale opens on Friday, 14 November, at 1 pm local time via the Live Nation Australia website.

Last year, Blink-182 returned to Australia for a 15-date tour with special guests Rise Against. The shows marked their first run Down Under since 2013 (drummer Travis Barker hadn’t set foot on our shores for an even longer period).

The band played 27-song setlists in Australia, which included seven tracks from their latest LP, One More Time…, with fans down under being treated to the live debuts of Fuck Face, Turpentine and Anthem Pt 3 (the latter played in full for the first time).
