The Big Pineapple hosts some of the country's biggest rock bands next year.

More Birds Of Tokyo More Birds Of Tokyo

The Big Pineapple Music Festival has announced its 2013 line-up featuring an eclectic bunch of Australian and New Zealand artists. The iconic Queensland tourist haven and legendary landmark will, for the first time that we can recall, host a cavalcade of awesome rock bands that are bound to please plenty of people.

Led by Birds Of Tokyo and Grinspoon, the festival will be held – as the name suggests – at the Big Pineapple in Woombye, Queensland. The full line-up of artists includes:

Birds Of Tokyo, Grinspoon, Regurgitator, British India, Black Seeds, Hermitude, Ash Grunwald, OKA, Bobby ALU, Kingswood, Sticky Fingers, Chance Waters, Dialectrix, Cheap Fakes, Andy Dub, The Leisure Bandits and many more.

BIRDS OF TOKYO

Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter

The ARIA-award winning Perth outfit slammed their way through 2012 with a national tour, and now, with their fourth studio album on the horizon, they'll be busting out some new tunes at the Big Pineapple. Birds Of Tokyo are back in action and it will be great to see what they lay upon us this time around.

GRINSPOON

As if these dudes need any introduction. One of Lismore's finest exports and one of Australia's most popular rock bands, Grinspoon are back in action with a new record and heaps of big shows in the pipeline; the Big Pineapple Music Festival being one of them.

REGURGITATOR

The Brisbane-bred, Melbourne-based trio have been making crowds very happy with a series of shows that celebrate their first two incredible records and have proven they are still a dynamite live proposition. Regurgitator will no doubt bring the party when they appear at the iconic Queensland landmark!

BRITISH INDIA

They have to be one of the hardest working indie rock bands in the country and Australian audiences are showing their appreciation for what British India do by showing up in droves wherever they play. It has been a while since we had a new LP from the guys, but we're sure they have plenty of new stuff to show us so we're excited at another chance to see them play.

HERMITUDE

Hermitude have had a huge year with their release HyperParadise. The electronic-hip hop duo's live show is as energetic and explosive as it gets with their bass-heavy, hip hop flavoured offerings. They've won the Best Independent Dance/Electronica Album at this year's AIR Awards, reaffirming their position in the electronic/hip hop scene.

THE BLACK SEEDS

New Zealand favourites The Black Seeds will be returning to Australia, to bring their much-loved brand of reggae back to our shores.

CHANCE WATERS

Off the back of his new record Infinity, there's been a swelling buzz around Chance Waters – the Australian hip hop artist who crafts the most delectable pop-tinged tunes. Having rapidly gained quite the following this year, he'll be adding some hip hop flavour to the Big Pineapple.

ASH GRUNWALD

Aussie bluesman Ash Grunwald dropped Troubles Door in May and while it might have seen him take a slightly different approach as far as its funding and release are concerned, but it was business as usual as far as his unique creative vision goes. If you yhaven't had the opportunity to see him perform these new songs in the live arena then we really can't suggest a trip to the Big Pineapple enough.

Tickets for the event are on sale from Thursday 6 December and early bird passes are just $65, which really is incredible value.
