Bill Callahan Announces Intimate Melbourne Residency During Vivid Visit

Alt-country master Bill Callahan has already locked in four shows at the Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid LIVE this year, but now the famous baritone troubadour has added a six-show residency to his schedule, too.

The Maryland native was last here in 2015 with a hefty set-up, but this time he's bringing the intimacy with only himself and his guitarist Matt Kinsey to Melbourne.

Callahan's storied career releasing 12 albums, working both under Smog and his own name, will be showcased at the rare shows.

Callahan and Kinsey will play six shows at Howler — two each night for three nights (29 May to 31 May).
