The Maryland native was last here in 2015 with a hefty set-up, but this time he's bringing the intimacy with only himself and his guitarist Matt Kinsey to Melbourne.
Callahan's storied career releasing 12 albums, working both under Smog and his own name, will be showcased at the rare shows.
Callahan and Kinsey will play six shows at Howler — two each night for three nights (29 May to 31 May).
