Adrian Slattery worked on the album after he found out about his terminal cancer

Following the death of Melbourne alt-country act Big Smoke's Adrian Slattery this past May after a battle with terminal cancer, the band have set plans in motion to posthumously release the debut album Slattery recorded on.

The record, aptly titled Time Is Golden, is due out later in the year, with the band revealing their first single, Best Of You, today alongside a live video of their time with Slattery.

In a statement earlier this year, the band said, "Adrian was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year but faced it with grace and strength, working on his music throughout. Big Smoke completed recording their debut album during this time."
