The veteran folk/electronica artist prefers to live in the present
Singer-songwriter Beth Orton has admitted she rarely listens to her previous albums saying she's a “a bit over certain things I've done before.”
The veteran folk/electronic fused artist, who is back after a six-year hiatus, made the admission in this week's The Drum Media.
“I don't really listen to what I've done before, I have to be honest,” the singer-songwriter confessed. “I like parts of what I've done in the past and, really, I'm a bit over certain things I've done before, but I'm never going to reject it. I think it's all relevant to me as an artist. I have to say, though, that where I am right now is really exciting to me. That's kind of what I'm thinking about these days.”
Orton also gave an insight into why her music is so multi-faceted.
