The Sydney house that the Bee Gees are believed to have rehearsed in early in their career is set to go up for an online auction next month.

As realestate.com.au reports, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, who lived around the corner in 1964, are believed to have rehearsed in the garage of the Bronte home.

Current owner and interior designer Shellie Conway said the story is well known within the neighbourhood.

“It’s a bit of folklore… a fun fact,” Conway said.

The four-bedroom house will go up for auction on 2 May with a $3.3 million price guide.

The news comes just months after it was revealed that a biopic based on the Bee Gees is in the works.

Paramount Pictures have teamed with production company Sister and Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King for the film. It has also been confirmed that Paramount "purchased the life rights to the Gibb family estate on behalf of GK’s King and will be able to use their classic songs in the movie".
