Australian Artists Donate Waived Bandcamp Profits To First Nations Causes
Bandcamp have waived their share for Friday 5 June.
A number of local artists and labels have announced that they'll be donating waived Bandcamp profits to First Nations causes today.
Bandcamp announced earlier this week that they would be waiving their share to help support artists during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tasmanian group Luca Brasi that both they and their label Cooking Vinyl will be donating this share to the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre, while Alex Lahey has said she will donate to North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA).
Gordi has also supported NAAJA, while label Future Classic will support the National Justice Project.
Dinosaur City Records will be donating 100% of their sales revenue to FreeHer via Sisters Inside and to Pay The Rent, and Lewis Godwin is supporting Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement and the fundraiser for the family of David Dungay.
No. 1 Dads will be donating to Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) and The Broken Needles will be donating 100% of their Bandcamp sales to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

Ninajirachi will donate 100% of Bandcamp pre-orders and sales of the new Blumiere EP to Australian Indigenous Legal Services & Agencies across the country. Label Our Golden Friend will donate 100% of merch profits to ANTaR Victoria.
