After tearing up the Melbourne Comedy Festival this year, local absurdist sketch group Aunty Donna have ticked off a new milestone as Comedy Central Australia have today launched a brand new mini-series from the troupe. 

The series, called Trendy, will premiere an episode every Friday starting from today with five episodes due to be screened in total. 

The show, based on what's 'trendy' in today's hipster society, is Comedy Central's first ever Aussie mini-series with more local comedy shows expected to launch throughout the year. 

Aunty Donna hit the comedy scene in 2012 with a unique brand of live sketches and have since garnered over 13 million views and 100,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel.
