"Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is a simple and fun way YOU can help raise funds to get our beloved Aussie artists and music workers back on their feet.”
The annual Ausmusic T-Shirt Day has launched for 2021, with a huge list of Aus music legends lending a hand as ambassadors for the cause.
The initiative - led by Australian music industry charity Support Act - encourages folks from all over the country and even the world to get on their favourite band tee and tour merch from an Aussie. The official day, Friday 19 November, was launched in order to support the local industry and raise much needed funds for out of work industry members.
A bunch of new ambassadors have signed up for 2021, including Jessica Mauboy, Amy Shark, Lime Cordiale, Mo'ju, and even the original members of The Wiggles - who have all donned their finest wares in recognition of the event.
“Our industry is in crisis like never seen before," Mauboy said of the day. We’ve lost work and livelihoods due to the pandemic, and for many this is our hour of need. Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is a simple and fun way YOU can help raise funds to get our beloved Aussie artists and music workers back on their feet.
Support Act have also launched a bunch of official merch for the day including the brand new drumming echidna logo and and tees from the likes of G Flip, Genesis Owusu, Tones And I, Powderfinger and many more.
