Ariel Pink To Play Sugar Mountain Festival

Stalwart Los Angeles-based psych-pop/experimental/avant-garde artist Ariel Pink has let slip that he is the first name to be confirmed for January's forthcoming Sugar Mountain music and arts festival.

Pink revealed the news on his social media accounts this morning, unveiling a new merchandise design by Melburnian artist Ben Montero created specifically for Sugar Mountain, and signing off with a cheerful, "See you in January, Melbourne!"

The event will be held in Melbourne on January 24. Previous incarnations of Sugar Mountain have hosted such esteemed acts as Dirty Projectors, Boomgates, Jonti, Hunx & His Punx, and Collarbones, so it will be interesting to see how 2015's full line-up plays out.
