A Is For Alpine will be out in August.

More Alpine More Alpine

The past year or so has been massive for Melbourne's Alpine, but things just keep getting more and more exciting as today they announce the name and date of release for their debut album as well as an enormous tour that they are going to undertake in support of it.

A Is For Alpine will be released through Ivy League on Friday 10 August, giving fans of the band their first chance to hear what the band can do when given a full album to realise the full potential of their gorgeous sound. The band took the opportunity to head out to rural Gisborne to track the album, taking Dann Hume along with them to produce - he also recently worked with Lisa Mitchell.

Their live show has stunned audiences around the world in recent times, a bunch of Australian tours and a strong showing at the SxSW festival this year helping the band develop it over time as well, so it's exciting to hear that less than a week after the album is released the band head out on the road to perform shows all across the country with support from special guests Clubfeet and Georgi Kay.
