Snoop Dogg Really, Really Wants To Be A Meme

"Meme?"

More Snoop Dogg More Snoop Dogg

Hip hop pioneer Snoop Dogg's avid love for photo-sharing platform Instagram is well documented, the veteran rapper regularly posting images to the service well into double digits every day. But it seems that his obsession extends beyond merely uploading photos of himself with, or slagging off, other famous people and frequently blasting pot smoke out of his nostrils — he is determined to become a meme.

It's an odd phenomenon, but every so often, Snoop throws out a casual "Meme?", or the slightly more hilariously desperate "Meme??", to his followers, alongside an often unusably grainy selfie, apparently out of some desire to see his picture sent back to him with some kind of snappy one-liner written in black-outlined white Impact font but, then again, maybe he's just fucking with us.

Either way, it's better than most TV. Behold:

This is apparently not a new habit, either - in fact, it's been such a prevalent feature of the Artist Formerly Known As Snoop Lion's Instagram feed for the past few months that a Tumblr user, anustartpop, even recently compiled a wonderful, inspired masterpost of some of Snoop's best efforts to be immortalised in web pop culture, mostly by getting really close to a camera and looking at it like he has quite literally never seen a camera before. It's freaking glorious.

Also, you should follow Snoop Dogg on Instagram. You will not regret it:
