Alexisonfire and Underoath have joined forces for the ultimate alternative rock Australian tour, announcing their joint return to our shores this morning for 2025.
Canadian rockers Alexisonfire last toured Australia last February in support of Otherness, their first new album in over a decade. Like that tour, the band heads down under not long after their singer, Dallas Green, plays in Australia under his moniker City And Colour.
From 2002 to 2009, the band was one of the most popular and influential post-hardcore bands going around. They released four albums that are platinum-certified in Canada: Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Canadian No.1 Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009).
Meanwhile, American band Underoath will be returning to Australia for the first time since 2019. Making their return even sweeter, the band is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album They’re Only Chasing Safety, playing the album in its entirety along with an encore set. New music is on the way for Underoath in 2025.

In addition to the leading acts, the tour has also locked in rising hardcore act GEL, who NME declared were “shaping the sound of hardcore in 2023.” The band released their five-track EP, Persona, earlier this year.
It’s a tour for heavy music lovers and will go down in March 2025. Beginning at Perth HPC (formerly HBF Stadium) on Thursday, 6 March, the band will then head to Brisbane’s Riverstage on Saturday, 8 March, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday, 11 March, and wrap up at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday, 14 March.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets at 12 pm local time on Thursday, 14 November, ahead of the general sale, which opens on Monday, 18 November, at 12 pm local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring website.
