Airling, Ceres & More Up For Unearthed Artist Of The Year J Award

Only one category remains to be unveiled

Rising Brisbane songstress Airling, punk-emo outfit Ceres and the prodigious Japanese Wallpaper have been named among six up-and-coming artists who make up the field for this year's batch of nominees for the J AwardsUnearthed Artist Of The Year.

Rounding out the field are Perth hip-hop luminary Coin Banks, soul-pop prodigy Meg Mac, and Brisbane-bred trap wunderkind UV Boi. Previous winners of the category have included acts as diverse and esteemed as Remi, The Rubens, Ball Park Music, Boy & Bear, The Middle East, John Steel Singers, and very first victors in the category Young & Restless (2007).

The new batch of names follows previous announcements in the categories of Australian Album Of The Year and the inaugural Double J Australian Artist Of The Year, with one more shortlist to be unveiled, for Music Video Of The Year.

The 2014 J Awards go down on Tuesday, November 18, and will be broadcast live from 5pm (AEDT) on the station. In the interim, get amongst some of the fine work being put out by the latest group of nominees.
