The new batch follows previously announced Album Of The Year contenders
The new, Gen X-focused digital arm of triple j, Double J, has announced its nominees for the very first Double J Artist Of The Year Award, freshly a part of the annual J Awards celebrations held each November.
Hot on the heels of the announcement of those in the running for Album Of The Year — a list that features the likes of Remi, Ball Park Music, Chet Faker and #1 Dads, alongside others — the Double J Artist Of The Year nominees come from a decidedly more "mature" pedigree, with nods going to resurgent indie rockers Augie March, veteran chanteuse Kate Miller-Heidke, Brisbane showstoppers Blank Realm, howl-rock luminary Steve Smyth, neo-folk darling Caitlin Park and stalwart blues/roots troubadour Mia Dyson.
The J Awards will be held in Melbourne, on Tuesday, November 18, and broadcast live on the station from 5pm.
