Hope Out West Festival is excited to announce the lineup for 2012 after a successful debut in 2011. Next year sees the lineup reach new leaps and bounds as interstate and international bands being added to next years festivities. The festival will be held at Bathurst, New South Wales again on January 21.

Ligeia guitarist Ryan Ober has released a statement which comments on the band's cancelation of all upcoming shows, the actions of front man Keith Holuk in which he drank too much and ruined the band's recent show in Providence, Rhode Island, and the current status of the band.Ober posted:"First of all, I'd just like to apologize for not writing anything sooner but our frontman's actions have once again thrown me into a horrible spot in my life. I've basically been bouncing around Western Massachusetts (I live 5 hours away in PA) since the ordeal in Providence, tying up the loose ends of this current hiatus making sure noone else feels like they're about to get screwed along with the rest of us. So, with that being said, please understand that my main focus has been on finding a place to sleep and keep warm, not how I can get on Facebook or Lambgoat to TALK about a problem I'm too busy actually dealing with.It really makes me/us sick to see the comments left by those who once loved ...

English rock/post-hardcore band Lower Than Atlantis was robbed last night in Montreal during their North American tour.

The Word Alive has been demoing new material this month in preperation for their next full-length. The band will enter the studio on February 7th with Joey Sturgis (We Came As Romans, Emmure) to begin tracking, and remain there through mid-March.

Hawthorne Heights have posted the new music video for their song "Four White Walls". The song is taken from the band's latest EP "Hate", which the band self-released through their own Cardboard Empire label.

Santa Barbara, California based hardcore band Minus have posted two new songs onto their Bandcamp page as a free download. The songs "Have" and "Have Not" are taken from the band's new tape release "Have/Have Not", which will be limited to 100 copies, and available in time for the Triple B Records showcase in December.

Lincoln, Nebraska based hardcore band Bent Life have posted a new song onto the 6131 Records website. The song "The Hard Way" is the title track from the band's new 7", which will be released in early 2012 through the label.

2011 marks 10 years since My Chemical Romance formed. People first started taking notice when the band released their 2004 major label debut, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge but their 2006 concept album The Black Parade really put them on the map. 2010 saw the band release their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, taking their sound in a new direction. Next year My Chemical Romance will be hitting our shores as a part of the Big Day Out as well as playing a string of headlining sideshows. Before the band begin preparing for the tour, guitarist Frank Iero sat down for a chat with Kill Your Stereo to discuss picking set lists, their next album and exploding sinuses.
