Senses Fail have announced that they have completed writing their new album, and will be heading to Los Angeles next week to begin recording the new album.

Veara have posted a video update from the studio from their time spent in there recording their new album. The band recorded the new album with producer Dan Korneff (Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil), who is also handling the mixing duties.

Fresh from releasing their debut studio album ‘Silent Machine’ last Friday, local metallers Twelve Foot Ninja will hit the road this January/February for a national tour.

Foxfires, the band that features former Four Year Strong keyboardist Josh Lyford, have posted a new song from their forthcoming EP release online. The song "Black, White Birch" is taken from the band's new EP "Golden Age", which will be released in early 2013 through Escapist Records.

Aloca, the solo side project of Derek Archambault of Defeater, will be releasing his debut record "Bone & Marrow" on February 26 through Bridge Nine Records. The album was recorded in mid-2012, first in Derek's hometown of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, then at Mike Moschetto's The Office Recording (North Andover, Massachusetts) and at Jay Maas' Getaway Recording Studio.

Having completed a sold-out solo east coast tour earlier this year, J Mascis returns to Australia in 2013 for a national tour. This time, however, Mascis is bringing his pals, drummer Murph and bassist Lou Barlow, along with him as they prepare once again to give listeners a dose of the live aural-onslaught that is Dinosaur Jr. The tour comes off the back of I Bet On Sky, the third album to be released by the iconic trio since their unlikely reformation in 2005. And like it’s post-2005 predecessors, Farm and Beyond, Sky… is yet another critical and fan-fave and continues the phoenix like rise of these alt-rock superheroes.

Relapse Records has announce the signing of Boulder, Colorado hardcore/grind/punk quartet Ironhorse. The band recently wrapped up recording their debut 'Dragged Down a Dead End Path' in Salt Lake City at the Boar's Nest with Andy Patterson which will see an early 2013 release via Relapse.

Mutiny Within have announced the official release date of their sophomore album, 'Synchronicity,' for January 12, 2013.

The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas has announced that he is no longer a member of the band. Lucas has posted a video announcing his departure, and also mentioned that he will be focusing on some other projects, including one with Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage.

Green Day have posted the new music video for their song "Stray Heart". The song is taken from the band's new album "¡Dos!", which will be released on November 13 through Reprise Records.
