Fourteen women and gender-diverse songwriters and composers have been chosen for this year’s 23% mentorship program.

"The artists we’ve selected reflect the incredible depth of talent in Australia," said BIGSOUND Co-Programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne.

Dark Mofo and RISING are among the 2025 events that have returned reinvigorated, following the trend of Laneway, Bluesfest, and other Australian festivals.

“Radical Son is a force — on stage, in the studio, and in spirit,” says Perfect Pitch Publishing’s Managing Director, Clive Hodson.

Figures from the world of music, film, and broadcasting have been included in this year's list of King’s Birthday Honours.

“Please join us for our final shows this month as we celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared one last time," Foundry616 owners urged.

"We need to work to remove barriers to success and enable more support for our local artists," says Madeline Ogilvie, the Tasmanian Minister for the Arts and Heritage.

The Agincourt Hotel sold for $30 million in May.
