More Vance Joy More Vance Joy

UNIFIED Music Group CEO Jaddan Comerford, Vance Joy and Kevin Parker have brought the music to this year’s Young Rich List, unveiled today by the Australian Financial Review (AFR).

Sharing company alongside athletes, entrepreneurs, and many business people, the AFR has found that Comerford’s wealth has actually increased by 10% on a year-on-year basis, with $66 million in wealth.

As well as managing Vance Joy and Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, booking gigs for Tones And I and others, and promoting shows like country megastar Zach Bryan’s one-off show in Melbourne, UNIFIED is also involved in publishing and merchandise.

In addition to his work with UNIFIED, he’s a partner in Side Stage Ventures, whose investment in AI image generation company Leonardo.Ai paid off when Canva bought it this year. Comerford made the list at #72 this year.

At #99 is Tame Impala ringleader Kevin Parker, who’s amassed wealth of $40 million. Parker made the Young Rich list for the first time after selling the rights to his back catalogue to Sony Music.

While the terms of the deal were undisclosed, AFR suggests that the payout would be enough to form a majority of his wealth, and that’s after royalties for hits like The Less I Know The Better and Elephant and songwriting credits with Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Dua Lipa. Parker had songwriting credits on Lipa’s latest album, Radical Optimism.

Meanwhile, James Keogh (aka Vance Joy) also appears on the Young Rich List after another massive year. His song, Riptide, has been streamed upwards of 2.7 billion times on Spotify alone, and he draws 22.1 million monthly listeners on the streaming service.

In 2022, Tones And I landed on the Young Rich List with an estimated $35 million worth, with the publication attributing her placement on the list to Dance Monkey, an “enduring hit.” That year, Comerford made his debut on the list.
