The Music has gathered who wore what for this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
It’s the most glorious day of the year for devoted collectors of band tees: Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
All money raised from Ausmusic T-Shirt Day will go to Support Act, helping fund their efforts to support musicians, managers, crew and music workers through crisis relief support, mental health and wellbeing programs, a bespoke hotline, and dedicated support for First Nations peoples.
As well as raising money for charity for an important cause, Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is fun – it’s that day when super-t-shirt collectors Katja Krstic (Support Act) and Cheryl Crabtree (Adelaide Debonairs) can wear one of hundreds of old, washed-out Cold Chisel and Gang Of Youths t-shirts and fit in with the next person.
Anyone who’s made buying and wearing band merchandise part of their personality gets to shine today, and that includes numerous figures in the music industry, from Sister2Sister, Zan Rowe, Jessica Mauboy and many others, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also repping one of his favourite artists.
To celebrate the moment, The Music has gathered who wore what for this year’s Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
If you’d like to purchase a t-shirt, donate to Support Act or sign up to fundraise in your area, you can find more information via the Support Act website.
