Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

Warner Brothers Residency (Late Matinee)

Sunday, 14 June 2026

Where?

What?

In 1987, when James Stewart and Dan Warner added a rhythm section to their guitar duo, the locals, as a joke, started calling the band ‘The Warner Brothers’. Way before ‘alt-country’ was even thought of as a genre, The Warners were paving the way for the next generation of country-lovin’ folk in the inner city. In fact, the band’s first 1992 single ‘Stuck in Melbourne’ still somehow remains a weird singalong country lament – a tiny lamplight searching its way out of the depths of the grunge era. On every Sunday in June, The Warner Brothers return to the NSC for a classic bar-band Sunday arvo residency. James and Dan are still trading blows up the front - and they are joined by original drummer James Carden as referee, and bass player Alics Gate-Eastley as the voice of reason.
