It was recently announced that global girl group KATSEYE would make their Australian debut next month, but what was thought to be a press tour with a meet-and-greet has expanded to include a live show.
Universal Music Australia has confirmed that KATSEYE will perform a one-off show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday, 8 May. And best of all, it’s free to attend.
In a post shared on social media this morning (30 April), Universal Music Australia revealed that fans must register by 5 pm AEST on Friday, 1 May, to be eligible for tickets. You can register here. They added that fans who sign up will have the chance to access free tickets when the on-sale opens next Tuesday, 5 May, at 10 am AEST.
The label’s post reads, “EYEKONS!! KATSEYE is coming to Australia for a surprise free one-off show at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday 8 May 🖤
“For your chance to access tickets, you must register by 5 pm AEST Friday 1 May via the link in bio.
Get ready to put your PINKY UP!”
Responding to a fan in the comments, they continued, “all fans who sign up via the link in our bio will have the chance to access free tickets when they go on sale, next Tuesday at 10 am AEST.”
In addition to the free show, KATSEYE will host an exclusive fan Q&A in Sydney on Wednesday, 6 May.
Fans will be in with a chance to attend the exclusive Q&A by pre-ordering KATSEYE’s forthcoming EP, WILD, and entering Universal Music Australia’s competition form. You can pre-order the EP here. Successful applicants will win a spot at the unmissable event for Australian fans.

Featuring members Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, KATSEYE – with members from the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States – are recognised as a global girl group.
The six-piece was formed through the 2023 reality competition series Dream Academy, a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records. The Netflix docuseries, Popstar Academy: Katseye, also chronicled the group’s formation.
The group announced the forthcoming release of the WILD EP following their unforgettable performances at Coachella earlier this month.
During their Coachella set, KATSEYE premiered their new single, PINKY UP – an edgy, high-energy track that’s packed with confidence and playfulness; just what their discography thus far has been building towards.
