Tomas Ford’s Big Xmas Surprise

Surprise! Tomas Ford is throwing one hell of a Christmas party, bringing both of his chaotic shows with him for a hell of a double bill.Doors open at 8pm with some pre-show DJ mischief, before we gather around the (fake-but-convincing) fire at 9pm for the launch of "Australia’s 2nd Best Busker," the new acoustic album from his queer bush balladeering alter-ego WOODY CAMPFIRE. Woody is fresh from taking out second place at the Australian National Busking Championships. On boxing day, he leaves for a huge tour that'll take in the Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, a string of east-coast dates and wind up with his new show "Camp Woodyfire" at Fringe World Expect yarns, singalongs and the kind of warm, chaotic bush showmanship that he’s built in pubs and street corners across the country.At 10pm, the campfire snaps into technicolour as Tomás unleashes the first edition of his comedy nightclub CRAP MUSIC RAVE PARTY in two years: his cult, gloriously idiotic club night where the audience requests the worst songs imaginable and he responds with deranged dancing, frantic costume changes and whatever else it takes to get the room moving.
