Vera Blue Reveals One-Off Performance With Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

Video: Emmy The Great - Swimming Pool
Emmy The Great's latest single is a majestic piece to submerge yourself in.. Emmy The Great's latest single Swimming Pool comes off 4-track EP, which is to be released in January, and shares much of the same sensibilities as if this song was to be played under water. Indeed, Swimming Pool is a stripped back, almost dulled down affair with only Emma-Lee Moss' voice cutting through. But despite this hushed soundbed the choral instruments add a sense of majesty to the mood of the piece. And as the drum beat burbles into the space alongside Tom Fleming's voice (Wild Beasts lead singer) that aura of radiance shifts the previously elemental track out of the water in the warm sunlight before ending all too soon.
