The playlist is updated on Spotify and Apple Music and includes the hottest songs from Australia and internationally. This week, we’ve gathered new songs from Alex Warren, Ravyn Lenae, DMA’S, RAGEFLOWER, BIG NOTER, Rowena Wise, and more.

Alex Warren – Rescuer

With a folk-inspired, guitar-led intro, Alex Warren showcases the deeper side of his vocals in the touching Rescuer. As the song unfolds, it becomes an emotional singalong number.

**Ravyn Lenae – Babygirl (featuring Doechii)**

Ravyn Lenae and Doechii bring the energy on the groove-laden, sultry Babygirl. Opening with breathy lines from Lenae, the track unfurls halfway through with Doechii’s signature rap style.

DMA’S – Windows

Windows is DMA’S as you know them best: acoustic-focused melodies, bright verses delivered by Tommy O’Dell, and introspective lyrics. Five stars.

RAGEFLOWER – TWINSTAR

RAGEFLOWER doesn’t sound so rageful on the mid-tempo, touching TWINSTAR. Showcasing the emotion in her voice and range of her musicianship, it’s a must-listen, lighters-in-the-air type of song.

Special Features – Poles

Heavy alt-rockers Special Features display the dynamics of their sound on Poles, playing with soft and loud elements: softly speaking followed by yells into the microphone, then quiet guitars that envelop you in distortion.

**The Avalanches – Can’t Get Over Losing You (feat. Portraits of Tracy)**

Can’t Get Over Losing You feels effortlessly modern and somehow timeless as well. It could be bursting out of your iPod or playing at a nightclub. It’s The Avalanches at their finest.

ROLE MODEL – Harmony

Stripped-back album closer Harmony calls back to classic songwriters, whether it’s Tom Petty or Bruce Springsteen. ROLE MODEL channels his inner lounge rocker, taking it easy while showcasing his growing songwriting chops.

BIG NOTER, Joe Talbot – BIG NOTER

BIG NOTER – Briggs’ metal-leaning project – collaborating with Idles frontman Joe Talbot just makes perfect sense. The pair exchange energetic bars alongside filthy guitar riffs, playing with space and BIG NOTER sharing its toughest chorus to date.

Jewel Owusu – I know you

Jewel Owusu, slick and pop-focused, stands out with the moving I know you. Live instruments accompany her gorgeous vocal tone, front of centre, where it belongs.

Rowena Wise – Unlearning of Love

The tender Unlearning of Love is one of Rowena Wise’s most powerful songs to date. Anchored by an acoustic guitar, she has nowhere to hide as the song follows things left unsaid.
