Do you remember the first time you saw The Last Waltz? What were your impressions? In 1976 when it was first released to cinemas. Considering it featured pretty much every one of my idols I was suitably awestruck.

The Last Waltz is considered one of the best music films ever made — can anything hold a candle to it? Possibly not. Although Scorsese does do great music cinema and Shine A Light was another masterful cinematic recording of a rock concert.

What made you choose the particular songs you're performing on the night? Well, quite frankly, the songs I am performing were chosen for me.

Will you sing your songs true to the original or put your own spin on things? Considering this music is in my musical DNA anyway I think you'll find it hard to tell whether I am mimicking the originals or simply singing like myself.

Come on, own up — who are you jealous of on the night because they'll be singing a song you really wanted to sing? If anyone dares try to sing Out Of The Blue I'm afraid I will have to have them (and their accomplices) killed!
