Breakfast in Guadalajara, lunch in Seoul, perhaps some cocktails in Paris followed by dinner in Berlin? That might sound like an ambitious number of passport stamps for one day's dining, but in Sydney you can have the world on a plate without ever having to set foot in an airport. Check out these international flavours right on your doorstep.

Mexico

In Sydney, you can't get better than the authentic Mexican cuisine at Playa Takeria (Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst). Check out its fun, themed days from Taco Tuesday to Senoritas Wednesday where you get margaritas for $10! At El Topo (Bondi Junction) go native with some crunch and (so we're told) highly nutritious fried crickets, washed down with one of more than 70 Tequilas. Dining experiences don't get more vibrant than eating at the Flying Fajita Sistas (Glebe Point Rd, Glebe), with all the staples of the Mexican menu produced to perfection.

The Chicken Institute (Fitzroy St, Surry Hills) might sound like a home for Poultry Professors, but its fast earning a reputation as one of the best Korean Fried Chicken joints in Sydney, with 5 different twists to sample. At B.B.Q. City (Liverpool St, CBD) there's more than 100 dishes on offer, delivering a traditional experience to suit almost any taste. A contemporary fusion of rich Asian and Korean BBQ flavours, Smokkim Modern Kitchen (Devlin St, Ryde) has a sleek, chic menu to cater for even the most discerning palate.

France

Award winning French bistro Felix (Ash St, CBD) has proved that the rich and delicate cuisine they serve up can only be outdone by their extensive wine list, boasting a cellar to satisfy any connoisseur.
