Sophisticated Dingo ProfilePunk duo Sophisticated Dingo are throwing up a warcry today in their destructive new single Yuppies, premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au.
The tune is alight with repressed rage for the smashed-avo-eating, craft-beer-drinking, titular demographic with the band unleashing an energetic, guitar-heavy, surf-rock tinged sound.
"We wrote Yuppies after Jimmy (Medley) would arrive at band practice after 11-hour shifts at a cafe and running his mouth about the customers he was having to deal with," vocalist Lewis Matte said.
"Cafe-goers complaining about having to settle for dark-rye when light-rye wasn't available, complaints about the music being too loud, and baristas being forced to froth three different types of milk at once, all for some fuckwit who wants it served with a shot of decaf!"
The dynamic pair are wasting no time getting their message to the people, inking a fresh deal with 123 Booking Agency and kicking off with two exclusive gigs in Sydney and Melbourne.
