“It’s about that moment you reach your breaking point."

Perth-based rockers Homebrand find a bold new sound with their latest single, Blue.

The anthemic indie rock number sees them “graduate” from a bedroom recording setup and team up with WA legend Dave Parkin at Blackbird Sound Studios.

Premiered by The Music today, Homebrand described Blue as “a song about feeling trapped in a toxic environment, whether it’s bad friends, school bullies or a terrible relationship - it’s a situation that almost everyone has been in at one point in their life.

“It’s about that moment you reach your breaking point and realise it’s time to get out of this mess you’re in, you’re trying so hard to break free but you just end up feeling like your pleas are somewhat lost in the void.”

With the song officially released this Friday, the band will play two hometown launch shows later this month.
