What's the song about? Being in a bad place. Hurting people you love, getting stepped over in a romance, being addicted to your phone.
How long did it take to write/record? A couple of nights. First night, I went into the shed after an awful series of events and came out with this track. Second night, Hoodlem dropped by to do backing vocals.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It's the third single from my album Ganbaru which came out in February this year.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I spoke very rudely to my drummer. I was on a post-travel comedown. The music industry was giving me the willies. A girl I really liked didn't like me back.
We'll like this song if we like... bass, to dance, to complain, or would like to be able to accept failure and learn from it.
Do you play it differently live? Yes. Andrew a.k.a. the Lord of Hi-Hat, also known as my drummer whom this song is partly about, absolutely slays the groove on the kit.
