Riley Pearce ProfileSingle title? Roskie
What’s the song about? My experiences living in Montana for the first five months of the year... It’s about snow... mostly snow.
How long did it take to write/record? Initially it didn’t take me too long to write – maybe a few days. Just took a while to tweak the lyrics. We recorded everything in a day with Andy Lawson.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? I have no idea.... I’ll be releasing an EP mid-2015 but I’m yet to decide the tracklisting. I’m usually more organised than this.
What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? Mostly about living overseas. It’s one of the biggest things I’ve done to date and I want to make that 2015 EP centred around that experience.
We’ll like this song if we like... Summer songs about snow... Vance Joy, Husky.
Do you play it differently live? It’s a fun song to play. There’s always a bit more grooving involved that determines how different we play it.
When and where is your launch/next gig? 20 Nov at Mojo’s Bar is the single launch party. Joining myself and my band will be Stillwater Giants and Logan Crawford.
