Single title? Treasure

What's the song about? Sudden and unexpected periods of happiness and living in the moment then realising this unique moment could change everything.

How long did it take to write/record? It took a few weeks to write and nearly two years to record due to conflict within the band about whether or not this song and style fitted with our existing sound and fanbase. 

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Treasure is the third song on an upcoming EP which is due for release in the second half of this year. We've decided as a band to release the tracks as we record and produce them.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The sound came before the lyrics. Then while having happy hour drinks with a mate he proceeded to tell me about his recent adventures travelling across Europe in grave detail and there it was, Treasure.  

We'll like this song if we like... M83, The Jezabels, Coldplay and making the most of genuine chemistry between people in the rare moments we find it.

Do you play it differently live? Yes, we believe in giving people more than the MP3 version, especially if they've made the effort to give us the one thing they can never get back: their time. 

When and where is your launch/next gig? Bald Faced Stag in Leichhardt on Saturday, 26 Mar.
