More Puddles Pity Party More Puddles Pity Party

Answered by: Puddles Just Puddles (Michael Geier)

Briefly describe your show. It’s a Pity Party, y’all. We all get down together, and then help each other back up.

What was the inspiration behind your show? It’s a sad and beautiful world, and sometimes you just gotta cry it out.

What makes your show different? Feelings. Fellowship. Free hugs. And the promise of the possibility of pie.

Briefly describe the development process of your show? Tell us a bit about your creative team, too. I rely heavily on my pals Big Mike, Shan, Sam and Sweet Georgie. Our process is fuelled by coffee with milk and, of course, pie. Our approach is often “What thuh? Ok, let’s put it in the show.”

What was the biggest challenge you encountered in this show? Keeping my coffee cup full and my powder dry.

Why did you decide to do Fringe 2015? And have you been involved in previous/interstate Fringe festivals and how was the experience? My pal Sam has been urging me to come to Austria for a long time. I visited the Fringe in the Scotlands last August and it was a ripper. So I figured, “Hey! Let’s go!” and to Austria I went.

What makes a good Fringe show? What do you personally look for from the perspective of an audience member? At a show, I like to get a little something I can’t get at home, like eye contact.

What do you love about Fringe Festival besides all the shows? I like to get lost.

What are you excited to see at this year’s Fringe? I really want to see the mad and beautiful Sam Simmons and Dr Brown. And all my friends at La Soirée.

And for a fun random one, in a fantasy world who would you be the love child of? Judy Garland and The Shmoo.
